Found limping near a railway track, Chichi was in unimaginable pain. One of his hind legs had been severely injured—possibly due to an accident—and was infected beyond repair. Locals had seen him dragging himself around for days before someone reached out to Animal Care.

When our rescue team arrived, Chichi was lying under a tree, exhausted and trembling, yet still wagging his tail. That one gesture, so simple yet powerful, told us everything we needed to know—this little warrior hadn’t given up. And neither would we.

After rushing Chichi to our medical partners, the X-rays revealed heartbreaking news. The injury was too old, the tissue too damaged. The only way to save his life was to amputate the leg.
